An invitation counts as active while it is published and its date has not passed. Premium designs show which plan includes them on the templates page; on lower plans they are a one-time purchase per invitation, or covered by the Event Pass.
Questions, answered
One that is published and whose date has not passed. Drafts and past events never count, so old invitations stay online without taking a place. An invitation with an Event Pass has a place of its own.
No. Every plan, Free included, takes as many guests and RSVPs as your celebration needs. What the plans change is how many invitations you can have live at once, the premium designs included, and text alerts to your phone.
Any time. Move up and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period; move down or cancel and the change takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, with nothing refunded and your invitations left online.
No. Free covers a whole celebration. If you want a premium design you can pay for it once, or take the Event Pass ($24) and get everything Celebrate includes for that one invitation.
